From Friendship
to #AppunkiForever

Four functions. Four moods. One story — of two people who became friends, then everything else.

Henna being applied by hand for a Mehendi ceremony

Day One · Dec 4, 2026 · 11 AM – 1 PM · Vihangam, Nandangadda

Mehendi Madness

Dress code: Green

Before the vows, there are mornings like this one — henna, laughter, and everyone who's ever teased these two about "just friends."

The cone meets the palm. Apoorva, surrounded by the women who raised her and the friends who've kept her sane, sits still for maybe the only time all week.

The volume rises. Music sneaks in, cousins start heckling, and "quiet ritual" quietly stops being quiet. Green everywhere, per the memo.

Venkatesh shows up. Not as the groom yet — just as the guy who's about to be in every family photo from here on out.

Dhol drummers performing at a celebration

Day One · Dec 4, 2026 · 5 PM onwards · Premiere Hall, Karwar

Sangeet Sitare

Dress code: Bring in your bling

Two families walk in as strangers-by-blood. By the end of the night, nobody remembers which side they came in from.

Two childhoods, one stage. Baby photos, questionable haircuts, and the friends who knew them before they knew each other.

The plot twist. Somewhere in the setlist, "how we met" turns into "how we stayed" — this is where "From Friendship" earns its place on the invite.

The roast. Parents, siblings and cousins take the mic. Nothing is off-limits. Everything is loving.

The last dance. Apoorva and Venkatesh finally take the floor together — and so does everyone else.

Turmeric paste prepared for a Haldi ceremony

Day Two · Dec 5, 2026 · 11 AM onwards · Vihangam, Nandangadda

Haldi Hungama

Dress code: Yellow

The wedding stops being "soon" and starts being "tomorrow." Everything is ready except everyone's composure.

It starts politely — elders first, a careful dab of turmeric, a blessing whispered along with it.

It does not stay polite. One smear becomes a handful, a handful becomes a face, and Haldi Hungama earns its name in real time.

A sacred fire (havan) burning during a Hindu ceremony

Day Three · Dec 6, 2026 · 10:15 AM · Parvati Shankar Hall, Nandangadda

#AppunkiMangalyam

No stage. No performances. Just two families, one fire, and the two people who got them all here.

The Sacred Fire. Agni stands witness as Apoorva and Venkatesh sit before it together — the friendship that carried them here now becoming something the fire itself has seen.

Seven Steps, Seven Promises

1. Nourishment — a home where both are cared for.

2. Strength — showing up for each other when it's hard.

3. Prosperity — building a future, together.

4. Happiness — choosing each other over winning.

5. Family — and everyone still to come.

6. Companionship — through every season ahead.

7. Friendship — the same one this whole story started with.

The actual ceremony follows the family's priest and tradition — this is just the shape of it, not a script.
